Abstract

Futsal involves rapid accelerations and direction changes that place high mechanical stress on the ankle joint, making ankle injuries and impaired dynamic balance major concerns for player health and performance. While kinesiology taping techniques like the Kenzo Kase Technique (KKT) and New Balance Taping (NBT) are widely used to enhance neuromuscular control and joint stability without restricting mobility, most existing evidence focuses on soccer players rather than healthy futsal athletes. To address this research gap among Malaysian futsal players, this study evaluated the immediate effects of KKT, NBT, and placebo taping on dynamic balance performance using the Modified Star Excursion Balance Test (mSEBT).
