Abstract

The mausoleum is the final destination after a human being dies. The issue related to the mausoleum is a relatively sensitive issue among family members who have lost a family. The mausoleum chosen for burying or conducting the funeral ceremony depends on the wishes of the family members of the deceased. The problems faced by the management of mausoleums are faced by various types of mausoleums such as Muslim, Chinese, Indian, Christian mausoleums, and others. Problems faced by those who intend to develop areas close to the mausoleum which is strategic for the economic development for local population. Hence, to track or carry out the process of mapping the mausoleum. This is to prevent the planned development does not interfere or damage the existing mausoleum. Especially old unmarked mausoleums or tombstones for Islamic mausoleums have been lost or damaged as a result of human or natural disasters such as floods, landslides, earthquakes and so on. As a result, the GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) measurement method has the potential to solve the problems faced by the mausoleum management. For mausoleums, GPR can penetrate to a depth of up to 12 feet. Meanwhile, for high -density areas, GPR can assist in identifying mausoleum plots that are still there but unmarked or have been lost. The outcome of the research will hopefully be useful for any stakeholders of mausoleum to better manage its existence.
