Celebrating independence: College of Engineering hosts 2024 merdeka program

Execution and significance of the 2024 Merdeka Celebration organized by the Welfare Committee and Administration Office at the College of Engineering, held on August 29, 2024, at Engineering Square. Officiated by Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Hamidah Mohd Saman, the commemorative event brought together 35 staff members from the School of Electrical Engineering to celebrate national independence through structured community activities, including the Merdeka Cycling Convoy, Merdeka Run, Independence Quiz, and Decorated Bicycle Competition. The findings demonstrate that integrating recreational and civic activities within an academic institutional setting effectively strengthens inter-staff camaraderie, promotes organizational unity, and reinforces civic consciousness and national pride among academic personnel.
