CSC339: Practical Training is a course that helps students relate what they have learned in class to real working experience. This course is compulsory for all Diploma in Computer Science students and is meant to expose students to the industrial working environment. The duration of this practical training is six months. Through this course, students are given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a workplace related to their field of study. It allows students to apply computer science knowledge, tools, and techniques to solve real-life problems. During the training period, students are able to improve their technical skills and learn how to behave professionally in the workplace. They also develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management. In addition, the course exposes students to current technologies, organizational structures, and real challenges faced in the computing industry. Overall, CSC339 helps prepare students for future employment by building their practical skills and confidence.
