Invitation to international webinar – alluding to the artmaking of ceramics in times of pandemic

Proceedings and scholarly discussions of a joint international webinar organized by the Faculty of Art and Design at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), in collaboration with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), held virtually via Cisco Webex on July 2, 2021. Centered on the creative, technical, and structural adaptations within the artmaking of ceramics during the pandemic, the webinar featured insights from a panel of academic experts and practitioners, including Dr. Gita Winata (ITB), Taufiq Panji Wisesa (UPJ), Khairul Nizan Mohd Aris (UiTM), and Dr. Mohd Khairi Baharom (UiTM), moderated by Zuraidy Abd Rahim. By examining studio practices, material exploration, and institutional resilience during times of global disruption, the event served as a collaborative knowledge-sharing platform that strengthened cross-border academic ties between Malaysia and Indonesia, offered professional development and training hours for academic personnel, and advanced contemporary discourse on sustainable artistic practice amidst crisis.
