A virtual symposium is heading your way – calling for extended abstracts

The scope and strategic objectives of the International Virtual Symposium on Research, Industry and Community Engagement, organized by the Academy of Language Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam on June 25, 2021. Anchored by the central theme ‘1 Lecturer, 1 Industry’, the symposium served as an open-access global platform to examine collaborative frameworks spanning local and international university engagement, lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, educational innovation, commercialization, and community outreach. By providing a virtual convergence space for academic researchers, industry leaders, and community partners following the initial extended abstract deadline of April 9, 2021, the initiative highlighted the role of multi-sectoral partnerships in driving knowledge transfer and societal impact. Ultimately, the symposium reinforced the imperative of bridging higher education and external industry ecosystems to foster sustainable academic, economic, and community development.
