Abstract

As technology developed over time, smart gadgets have become more thinner to cater with our proactive lifestyle, thanks to the existence of nanotechnology. The application of nanotechnology as an imperative printing electronics components can be further optimized to create more tangibly flexible and user-friendly gadget such as an on-body printable smartphone that can be used just like regular smartphone with the benefits where it sticks to the body, let it be forearms, legs, or back of the hand, just like a second skin. To address this challenge, this study evaluates a comprehensive method of the synthesis of nanowires and printing technique that can be used for on-body printable electronics. Analysis of template synthesis focusing on anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) with silver as its deposited materials. Furthermore, printing techniques using screen printing and EHD printing were discussed and chosen. Materials that is non-harmful and rigidly attached but can be remove warrants that the printable electronics can be used seamlessly. This advancement in convergence of printable electronics and nanotechnology offers a foundation for communication devices that challenging the limitation of current device designs.
