The National Assessment Assessment System (NEAS) is a holistic assessment sytem conducted in schools to assess the cognitive, affective, spiritual, and psychomotor aspects of the students which is in line with the Malaysia’s National Philosophy of Education principles. This study is an instrumental case study which explores the factors that influence the implementation of NEAS and looks at how do these factors impact upon its implementation. The samples involved are teachers and head teachers which are selected purposively. Data was collected using semistructured inrerviews and observations. Results of data analysis revealed that factors such as relationship, leadership and teachers’ beliefs are the factors which influence the NEAS implementation and they overlapped for both schools, SAGA and WIRA Primary Schools. These factors generate the theoretical framework which demonstrates the flow of approaches that emerged in facilitating the implementation of NEAS successfully.
