Abstract

This article documents the execution and impact of the Service Learning Malaysia - University for Society (SULAM) programme titled "Cultivating Digital Marketing Culture with Kebun Komuniti Jalan Tuntung, Seksyen 20, Shah Alam," held on June 16, 2025. Organized by 35 Parks and Amenities students from the Faculty of Built Environment (FKAAB), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, under the leadership of programme advisor Mas Aiyu Jamaludin, the initiative aimed to bridge academic theory with real-world application under the theme "Empowering Communities Through Technology". The project equipped over 10 local urban farmers with practical digital skills, including social media marketing, content creation, poster design via Canva, and small-scale e-commerce tools, alongside joint planting sessions and communal clean-ups. Endorsed by urban farming chairperson Tuan Haji Abdullah A. Hamid, the initiative successfully fostered digital empowerment, promoted local produce visibility, and established a replicable model for sustainable university-community partnerships.
