Efficient nurse scheduling is essential to maintaining optimal healthcare services. However, in many healthcare institutions in Malaysia, nurse scheduling is still performed manually a method that is not only time-consuming but also prone to human error and bias. This innovation addresses the urgent need for a more reliable, systematic, and user-friendly scheduling solution by introducing an Automated Nurse Scheduling System developed using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (MVBA) within Microsoft Excel. This system is designed to streamline the complex task of scheduling nurses while adhering to institutional rules, labor laws, shift preferences, and fairness in shift distribution. It leverages the power of MVBA to automate the scheduling process, significantly reducing the time required for planning and eliminating the inconsistencies often associated with manual scheduling.
