This paper evaluates the collaborative industry programme between Azelis Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), which serves as a strategic initiative to bridge academic knowledge with real-world industrial practice in specialty chemicals, personal care, and food ingredient technologies. Through joint technical workshops, hands-on application laboratory sessions, and industry-led mentoring, the programme enhances students' practical competencies while exposing them to market-driven formulation standards and global compliance frameworks. The findings highlight the efficacy of university-industry linkages in improving graduate employability, fostering translational research capabilities, and accelerating talent development aligned with national workforce demands. Ultimately, this collaborative framework provides a scalable model for integrating corporate expertise into higher education curricula, strengthening local research infrastructure, and sustaining innovation across Malaysia’s chemical and life sciences sectors.
