This study evaluates the design, functionality, and market viability of the ‘Smart Slice Lock’, an innovative mechanical and security hardware solution tailored for residential and commercial application. Utilizing a new product development (NPD) framework, the report details the engineering conceptualization, prototyping, and user-centric design iterations aimed at addressing vulnerabilities in traditional door locking and sliding mechanisms. The integration of ergonomic slice-locking architecture enhances tamper resistance, user accessibility, and seamless installation efficiency. Market feasibility evaluations and customer feedback analyses demonstrate strong commercial potential within the consumer security and home hardware sectors. The findings underscore how localized hardware innovation and targeted design enhancements can drive product differentiation and offer reliable, cost-effective security solutions in modern housing markets.
