Report of industrial training at Jabatan Pertanian Sabah Tawau

We have been placed for our Industrial Training at the Jabatan Pertanian Tawau. Jabatan Pertanian Tawau is located at Jalan Kuhara. Agriculture Office will be open every day from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am till 5.00 pm. Jabatan Pertanian Tawau has 10 units. Each unit has their own function which is Administration Unit, Store Unit, Projek Pembangunan Komoditi Unit, Station Unit, Kawalselia Unit, Taman Kekal Pengeluaran Makanan(TKPM) Unit, Pembangunan Usahawan Tani Unit, lndustri Asas Tani(IAT) Unit, Extension Unit and Plant Quarantine Unit. Each units is headed by Senior Assistant of Agriculture and the Jabatan Pertanian Tawau is headed by Tuan Hj. Jupri Bin Hj. Demabela is Senior Agriculture Officer. Jabatan Pertanian Tawau function as disseminate information and transferring the technology, innovation and agriculture materials to the community especially to the farmers. Besides that, Jabatan Pertanian Tawau also gave an advisory service for those farmers need guidance regarding to agriculture. Jabatan Pertanian Tawau also provides the fruit seedling that recommended. Jabatan Pertanian Tawau have their own Plant Quarantine Unit for import and export purposes to ensure the harmful pest and diseases will not entry our district.
