Abstract
FELDA started to develop the land in mid- 1979 based on the approval of the State Government through the Sabah State Government Gazette No. 148 and 223. Until 2000, FELDA has opened a land area of 124.389 hectares of which 98 % are primarily oil palm plantation area and 2% is settlements and cities. Surplus areas cannot be developed by the FELDA reason and appropriateness of the acquisition by the State Government. Overall, sahabat (Lahad Datu) area have 105,053 Ha for field which including, Sahabat 07 that only have 3523.06 Ha area around that divided in 9 divisions :
