Based on the theoretical foundation of the origin of art, this paper analyzes the perspec on the origin of art in both Chinese and Western contexts, followed by an examinatio the origin of lines in Gongbi painting. From an artistic perspective, it conducts an in-d exploration of the expressive qualities of lines in Gongbi flower-and-bird painting. paper first outlines the development of ancient Gongbi flower-and-bird painting and application of lines within it, then analyzes the aesthetic value, emotional expression, technical characteristics of lines in this genre, and finally discusses the future developm of lines in Gongbi flower-and-bird painting. The aim is to elucidate the signifi contributions of "lines" in China's Gongbi flower-and-bird painting.How do painters con emotional expression through the use of lines in their paintings?
