Sustainability in whole life cycle enhancement of private finance initiative project

The purpose of this research is to provide scenarios for the incorporation of sustainable waste minimization strategies that were determined during a research project that investigated the important factors of sustainability to enhance the whole life cycle in the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) project. The research included a review of sustainable development and construction practices throughout the world and the collection of additional information from some of the construction firms. In order to carry out this final year project, the quantitative method is being chosen as the data collection method. This is because it is more suitable and easier to be used for this kind of study. Therefore, the data is obtained by using a questionnaire. All the methodology used is correspondent with the objectives of this study in order to get the correct result. It also will be explained by using a suitable diagram and table in order to provide a better understanding of the method used. Basically, the study is based on the problem statement. It can be found through some reading or literature review of the topic to make sure the problem is clearly identified towards this issue. Research limitations/implications. The research was limited to collecting data from the parties that involve in the PFI project. The chosen respondent was selected among the Klang Valley area. Findings. The results determined the reason for sustainable implementation in PFI projects, the measures taken and the important factors to ensure sustainability implementation in PFI projects.
