Abstract

On 23 june 2026, students of diploma microbiology semester four at UiTM Negeri Sembilan Branch, successfully presented their genetically modified organism (GMO) model as part of their continuous assessment for general molecular biology course. The students worked in groups to design and construct the representations of various GMOs using recycled and reusable materials. The activity aimed to enhance students' understanding of genetic modification concepts while encouraging innovation and sustainable practices. Students recently demonstrated their creativity, scientific understanding, and environmental awareness. The presentation contained an abundance of material which clearly related to the main model project. The team worked well together to achieve the objectives. each team member contributed in a valuable way to the project. This project also indicated a high level of mutual respect and collaboration.
