BIOWAVE: EcoStride promotes sustainability through health and community engagement

BIOWAVE: EcoStride marked the culmination of BIOWAVE: The Sustainability Movement, bringing together environmental awareness, healthy living and community engagement through a series of activities held on 20 June 2026. The event began with a 5-kilometer (5 km) Fun Run, bringing together students, staff and members of the campus community in support of a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. Participants were provided with 400 bottles of probiotic drinks sponsored by Yakult (M) Sdn. Bhd., which also conducted a health exhibition during the program. Alongside the run, the Eco Market featured preloved clothing, handmade crafts, food and beverages offered by students and local vendors, promoting the reuse of goods while supporting local entrepreneurship and sustainable consumption. Several organizations also participated through educational exhibitions, including the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), the Kuala Pilah Forestry Department and Persatuan Belia Dinamik Barat (PBDB). Their interactive booths introduced participants to topics such as drug prevention, biodiversity conservation, forest protection and youth leadership. Through these activities, BIOWAVE: EcoStride provided an opportunity for the campus community to learn, engage and contribute to a more sustainable future.
