UiTMCK students empower social responsibility alongside Machang District Council and Surau Al-Iktikaf community, Machang

Machang, 29 April 2026 – A total of 36 diploma students from the Faculty of Accountancy, UiTM Cawangan Kelantan participated in the Mutac Fresh and Clean: We Keep It Green Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, organised by the MARA University of Technology Accountancy Society (MUTAC) and the Faculty of Accountancy in collaboration with the Machang District Council and Surau Al-Iktikaf, Kg Rengas. The programme featured a community gotong-royong at Surau Al-Iktikaf, where students and local residents worked together to clean and beautify the surau, strengthening ties between the university and the surrounding community. Participants also attended an environmental awareness briefing by the Machang District Agriculture Office, followed by tree-planting and clean-up activities at the Tok Bok Hot Springs Recreational Park, promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. The initiative provided students with meaningful community engagement while fostering teamwork, leadership, and environmental responsibility. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
