“Jom jimat elektrik” programme

Kompleks Tok Gajah, UiTM Cawangan Pahang | 22 June 2026. The Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej (JPK) Kompleks Tok Gajah successfully organised the 'Jom Jimat Elektrik' programme on 22 June 2026 to encourage students to practise energy conservation. The programme was held from 11.00 p.m. to 12.00 midnight at the students' residential houses in Kompleks Tok Gajah. During the one-hour initiative, students were encouraged to switch off all unnecessary lights in their homes. This activity aimed to create awareness of responsible electricity usage while promoting environmental sustainability. The programme highlighted that simple daily actions can contribute to reducing energy consumption and protecting the environment. The event received positive cooperation from residents, reflecting their commitment to supporting green initiatives. JPK hopes that the programme will inspire students to continue practising electricity-saving habits in their daily lives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the college community.
