UiTM Perak green campus team wins first place at AKPU 2025 for excellence in green campus development

Shah Alam, 13 June 2026 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Perak achieved a significant milestone in its sustainability journey after receiving the First Prize in the Globally Renowned Excellence Transformation Award 2025 under the Development Excellence (Green Campus) category at the University Performance Excellence Awards (AKPU 2025). The prestigious award, organised by the UiTM Office of University Transformation and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, recognises outstanding initiatives that drive institutional transformation, innovation, and excellence across the university system. The achievement is the result of the collective dedication and strong collaboration of the Green Campus Committee from both the Seri Iskandar and Tapah campuses. Through a series of impactful sustainability programmes, environmental initiatives, and campus-wide engagement activities, the committee has successfully strengthened UiTM Perak's Green Campus agenda while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among students, staff, and the wider university community.
