Abstract

Seri Iskandar, 5 January 2026 – A significant milestone in sustainable campus development was achieved as Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perak officially signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adeeq Tanny Resources (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to implement an e-bicycle micro-mobility system on campus. The partnership reflects UiTM Perak's ongoing commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and supporting its Green Campus agenda by introducing eco-friendly transportation solutions. The initiative is expected to enhance sustainable mobility within the campus while reducing carbon emissions and encouraging greener commuting practices among the university community. Representing UiTM Perak at the official document exchange ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Muhamad Abdul Aziz Ab. Ghani, Deputy Rector (Research, Industrial, Community & Alumni Network), and Gs. Dr. Norhazlan Haron, Head of Unit 6: Green Campus Micro-Mobility, UiTM Perak. Adeeq Tanny Resources (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Haji Uzir Abdul Samad, and Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Hoi Kin Mun. The collaboration encompasses the operation and implementation of the e-bicycle micro-mobility system, as well as knowledge transfer, data sharing, and collaborative research opportunities between UiTM Perak and the industry partner. By combining academic expertise with industry experience, both parties aim to develop innovative and sustainable mobility solutions that can serve as a model for future green campus initiatives.
