UiTM Perak commences Green Campus SDG book writing and sustainable campus award documentation workshop

Seri Iskandar, 6 February 2026 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Perak has taken another significant step in strengthening its sustainability agenda through the organisation of the Green Campus SDG Mapping 2026 Book Writing Workshop and the Sustainable Campus Award Documentation Workshop. The workshops brought together a dedicated team of writers and Green Campus committee members to initiate preparations for two major institutional projects that showcase the university's sustainability achievements. A total of 15 members of the writing team participated in the workshop, working collaboratively to develop comprehensive documentation of UiTM Perak's Green Campus initiatives and their alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The workshop also focused on preparing supporting documents for the university's participation in upcoming Sustainable Campus Award evaluations. Throughout the workshop, participants reviewed existing Green Campus programmes, compiled evidence of sustainability initiatives, and discussed effective approaches for documenting institutional best practices. The collaborative sessions aimed to ensure that the book and award submission accurately reflect UiTM Perak's commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainable operations, and community engagement. The Green Campus SDG Mapping 2026 publication is envisioned as a comprehensive reference that highlights the university's sustainability journey, demonstrating how various Green Campus initiatives contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In parallel, the award documentation workshop enables the university to systematically present its accomplishments, innovations, and measurable impacts in sustainable campus development.
