UiTM Perak celebrates green campus excellence at the 2026 Green Campus appreciation ceremony

Seri Iskandar, 10 April 2026 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Perak organised the Green Campus Appreciation Ceremony 2026 to recognise the commitment and outstanding contributions of Green Campus Committee members from the Seri Iskandar and Tapah campuses in advancing the university's sustainability agenda. The ceremony gathered university management, committee members, industry partners, and staff to celebrate the successful implementation of Green Campus initiatives throughout 2025, including sustainability programmes, strategic industry collaborations, and environmental awareness activities. The event featured welcoming remarks by Associate Professor Sr. Dr. Nur Azfahani Ahmad, Coordinator of the Green Campus Committee, followed by speeches from Mr. Haji Uzir, Chief Executive Officer of Adeeq Tanny Sdn. Bhd., and Associate Professor Dr. Nur Hisham Ibrahim, Rector of UiTM Cawangan Perak, who highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving a sustainable campus. A total of 22 Green Campus Awards were presented to individuals and teams for their outstanding contributions to sustainability initiatives. The ceremony also included the official handover of electric bicycles (e-bikes) by Adeeq Tanny Sdn. Bhd., demonstrating the company's support for green mobility on campus. The programme reflects UiTM Perak's continued commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
