Closing ceremony of Malaysia Greening Campaign 2.0 in conjunction with International Day of Forests 2026, Perlis

The closing Ceremony of Malaysia Greening Campaign 2.0 in conjunction with the International Day of Forests 2026 at the State Level of Perlis was successfully held at Dewan Seri Semarak, UiTM Perlis Branch. The ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Dr. Noriman Rojulai, Deputy State Secretary of Perlis (Management), representing the State Secretary of Perlis. The two-day programme featured various sustainability-focused activities, beginning with knowledge-sharing sessions involving six invited speakers from relevant agencies and organisations. The sessions highlighted important topics related to forest conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development. The programme continued with a podcast session discussing current environmental issues and the role of youth in protecting the nation’s natural resources. The session involved approximately 500 students from UiTM Perlis Branch, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), and the Institute of Training, Ministry of Health Malaysia (Nursing), Kangar. The initiative demonstrated the continuous commitment of the Perlis State Government, the Perlis Forestry Department, and higher education institutions in strengthening national greening efforts and raising public awareness on the importance of conserving forests for future generations.
