KUDAH 3.0 promotes environmental sustainability through plogging at Tasik Cempaka

KUDAH 3.0 (Kutip Sampah Sambil Riadah) was successfully held at Tasik Cempaka, bringing together community members, volunteers, and strategic partners for a plogging activity that combined recreational exercise with environmental conservation. The programme was organised in collaboration with Sahabat Sungai Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), the UKM Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, the UiTM Foundation Centre, the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS), Surau As-Siddiq, and Indah Water Konsortium. Participants covered a 2 km route around the lake while collecting litter, promoting responsible waste management and environmental awareness. The programme was further strengthened by the participation of Prof. Zaini Ujang, who supported the community-based sustainability initiative. KUDAH 3.0 encouraged healthy living, civic responsibility, and environmental stewardship by demonstrating how simple actions, such as picking up litter during recreational activities, can create a positive impact when carried out collectively. The programme supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reflecting a shared commitment to cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable communities.
