Preloved raya clothing donation drive 2026 promotes sustainability and community care

The Mathematics Unit, UiTM Selangor Branch Foundation Centre, Dengkil Campus, successfully organised the Preloved Raya Clothing Donation Drive 2026 to collect quality reloved festive clothing for families in need ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Throughout the programme, staff and students donated clothing in good condition, which was carefully inspected, sorted, folded, and categorised before being distributed to the local community. The initiative promoted the practice of reusing clothing, helping to reduce textile waste while encouraging responsible consumption and social responsibility. The donation ceremony was held at Megah Villa Apartment Hall, Kota Warisan, where the collected clothing was presented to community representatives. The programme was well received and strengthened the relationship between UiTM and the local community while bringing joy to families preparing for the festive season. The initiative supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reflecting UiTM's commitment to sustainability, volunteerism, and meaningful community engagement.
