Our Mangrove Forest Conservation Program (Pelihara Hutan Paya Bakau Kita)

The Our Mangrove Forest Conservation Program (Pelihara Hutan Paya Bakau Kita) was organised by the Faculty of Built Environment, UiTM Shah Alam and DRB-HICOM Berhad, in collaboration with The King Scout Malaysia and MyPARKS, at Tanjung Karang, Kuala Selangor. The programme continued the mangrove planting initiative launched on 26 June 2025 and aimed to address climate change and biodiversity loss through environmental conservation and community engagement. The programme involved school students and the local community in sustainability talks, interactive mangrove conservation activities, colouring, and crossword competitions, with approximately 90 participants. It also received support from the Selangor State Forestry Department, Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development (IBSD) UiTM, and several strategic partners, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
