Occupant satisfaction level towards myhome housing scheme

Low cost housing is one of the key factor of great country. Since human need a house, not every house is affordable. The government implementation towards developers to provide low cost housing is one of the step to avoid any homeless from lurking around the city. Despite the government implementation, some of the developers are not keen in using good quality material for the house. There are some complaints about the housing quality especially the low cost housing. The scheme is one of the government's measures to encourage the private sector to build more affordable housing. The government's MyHome Scheme offers incentives of up to RM30,000 per unit that benefits home buyers and private developers. In 2015, the government allocated RM300 million for the construction of 10,000 units of affordable housing units nationwide. The objective of this study is to measure the quality of component used in MyHome scheme and occupant's satisfaction of the housing component. Then the relationship between the quality of the component and the occupant satisfaction will produced. This study found that, most of the housing component used in MyHome Scheme are very good in quality with acquired high occupant satisfaction towards it. The relationship between occupant's satisfaction and housing component also significant between each other.
