Students’ comprehensive online exercises (SCORE)

Online learning or e-learning is increasingly being used in education nowadays. E-learning is implemented through electronic media to diversify learning methods to facilitate the delivery of distance learning, online learning or blended learning. Conventional learning methods using notebooks and pens have shifted to more sophisticated technological tools such as laptops, mobile devices and other software applications. In line with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education) which emphasizes digital literacy as a 21st century learning skill, the Students Comprehensive Online Exercises (SCORE) system has been developed. SCORE innovation is a digital online learning system specially built for Business Mathematics (MAT112) course to facilitate students to access additional resources of exercises that are more interactive for them to review lessons anywhere and anytime. SCORE was designed using XAMPP that comprises of reliable technologies for Apache web server, MySQL database, and PHP scripting language with the help of a free GPL text editor, Notepad++, for coding. The system is molded to strictly follow the syllabus and generate various questions and answers easily and systematically. This application of online learning methods encourages students to adapt to the technology available today.
