An inside look at the educational field trip to the anti-doping agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS)

This article documents and evaluates an educational field trip to the Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS), examining its impact on student learning, sports integrity, and practical understanding of anti-doping governance. The study highlights how direct engagement with national anti-doping authorities bridges theoretical knowledge in sports science, pharmacology, and sports ethics with real-world testing procedures, regulatory frameworks, and education initiatives. Through site briefings, laboratory and facility tours, and interactive discussions on the World Anti-Doping Code, sample collection protocols, and Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE), participants gained first-hand insights into the operational mechanisms that safeguard fair play in sports. The findings demonstrate that experiential learning through institutional field trips enhances students' awareness of anti-doping regulations, fosters personal integrity among future sports practitioners, and underscores the vital role of education in preventing substance abuse across athletic disciplines
