Abstract

This article presents an overview and educational analysis of "Cultivating Preclinical Expertise: The Serumpun 2026 Animal Handling Workshop," an initiative designed to enhance foundational research skills and practical competencies in biomedical sciences. The program emphasizes ethical standards, humane handling procedures, and standardized methodologies for experimental animal research within preclinical study frameworks. Through hands-on modules and expert guidance, participating researchers and students acquire vital techniques in animal care, administration protocols, non-invasive handling, and biosafety compliance. The outcomes highlight the essential role of structured training workshops in bridging academic theory with laboratory practice, ultimately fostering research reproducibility, high standards of animal welfare, and the development of highly skilled preclinical investigators.
