Abstract
This article examines the role of direct industry engagement and career development initiatives in enhancing the readiness of pharmacy graduates, focusing on the "Sunway Multicare Pharmacy Campus Tour and Internship Recruitment" held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Penang Branch, Bertam Campus. Designed to bridge the gap between academic preparation and the practical demands of the community pharmacy sector, this collaborative event integrated career talks, interactive sessions, and on-site internship recruitment interviews. The findings demonstrate a marked increase in students' career readiness, practical understanding of community pharmacy operations, and confidence in pursuing private-sector opportunities. Overall, the study underscores that strategic partnerships between higher education institutions and community pharmacy chains play a critical role in producing job-ready graduates and sustaining a robust health sciences workforce in Malaysia.
