Report on industrial training at Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) Apas Balung Estate, Tawau Sabah

The industrial training is done for the FPA310 course that ask students to going through the training in selected company and learn all the activities in real plantation and also involved in those activities to ensure students feel the real situation of the works. Students also need to make a logbook to list down all the activities that they have been do as a record to complete their report. I do my industrial training at Sabah Land Development Board, Apas Balung Estate at Tawau. This company work for oil palm plantation and build in the Apas Balung area where the area has divide into three divisions. Those three division are Blok 31 , Serudung and Apas division. I going through five weeks to accomplish my industrial training and have been shown various work that do by the workers in the company. While I do my industrial training there, the plantation have already new planted of oil palm trees. So the work that focused is general maintenance such as weeding and manuring and also harvesting work. Besides that, I also exposed to the office work that done by the supervisor. Sabah Land Development Board, Apas Balung estate is located at SLDB Ladang Apas Balung, Batu 17, Jalan Bukit Quoin, Peti Surat 60036, 91010 Tawau, Sabah. For the headquarter of Sabah Land Development Board is at Block H47 & H48, KK Times Square, Signature Office, Off Coastal Highway, 88100 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
