A study on government agencies contribution towards the development of bumiputera entrepreneurs in Kuala Lipis, Pahang

This research was conducted to study the relationship between the roles of government agencies and the development of bumiputera entrepreneurs of agro-based product. The objective of this research is to identify the relationship between the roles of MARA, FAMA and LPP and the development of entrepreneur. This study also was conducted to know which role give high impact to the entrepreneurs. Finally, the purpose of this study is to recommend about the effective way that can be done by government agencies to support entrepreneurs. The researcher had distributed the questionnaire among 100 SME entrepreneurs in Kuala Lipis, Pahang. Islamic financing, training and subsidies are the independent variables that being selected by the researcher. After collecting the data and analyses it, the result shows that there is relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The finding also shows that the most important role is subsidies and most of the respondents agree that there is strong relationship between the subsidies and the development of bumiputera entrepreneurs. By conducting this researcher, all and wide, the researcher hopes that government agencies will polish up their services in order to make sure that the entrepreneurs have ability to increase their production and income.
