Parcel management system

The Malaysian Academy of SME and Entrepreneurship Development (MASMED), a consolidation of entrepreneurial centers at Universiti Teknologi MARA, spearheads innovation with UniMAIL, a parcel pick-up facility for students. However, operational challenges hinder efficiency and service quality. UniMAIL faces several challenges such as overreliance on manual processes, scalability issues leading to inefficiencies and errors, time-consuming parcel retrieval, and communication gaps between staff and students. To address these challenges, we propose a webbased parcel management system. This system enables UniMAIL staff to scan parcel QR codes for automatic recording, assigning each parcel a unique identifier for organized storage. Students register parcels online, linking them to the system for seamless tracking. Additionally, a dedicated page displays parcel details, enhancing communication. The online payment options streamline the transactions, hence reducing wait times. This integrated approach enhances efficiency, accuracy, and user experience, optimizing UniMAIL's operations and service delivery. By implementing this web-based system in UniMAIL’s daily operation, UniMAIL can significantly increase its operation efficiency and effectiveness that benefits students greatly in the long run. UniMAIL also offers a streamlined and convenient solution for both staff and students.
