Electronic performance indicator for campus research interest group (e-piCRIG)

Research & Publication Management Unit (RMU) is a Unit operates under Research and Industrial Linkages Department (PJI) in Universiti Teknologi Mara. Among the initiative taken under RMU operations is by proposing a Campus Research Interest Group (CRIG), in order organize research and publications activities among the academicians within the designated campus. Presently, there lacks an adequate mechanism to conduct comprehensive reviews for all lecturers engaged in grants and research within the registered groups, specifically the Campus Research Interest Group (CRIG). As a solution, it is imperative to launch the CRIG system namely e-piCRIG to aid the RMU committee in conducting regular evaluations of every lecturer registered under CRIG. This system can facilitate the clear and precise observation of each group's performance, eliminating the dependence on manual processes. e-piCRIG utilizing an Agile methodology consists of five modules involves namely registration, publication, research, supervision, and innovations. The rationale for this system is to assist the strategic planning team in obtaining periodic reports more efficiently. Additionally, as for the benefits and contributions of this system, every CRIG can track and updates their publications, research, supervision and innovations progress as well as motivates all members to remain actively engaged in fulfilling part of their responsibility as an academician.
