Water resources awareness program (KESSA)

The Water Resources Awareness Program (KESSA) Negeri Sembilan 2026, organized by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, was successfully held from 17 to 18 May 2026 under the theme "Kembara Ilmu KESSA 2026: Air Lestari, Warisan Bestari" and the slogan "Kito Jago, Warisan Kito." The Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), served as the implementing partner for this public education and awareness initiative aimed at enhancing public understanding of sustainable water resource management, environmental conservation, and pollution reduction from various sources. The programme involved strategic collaboration among government agencies, higher education institutions, industry players, and local communities, including the Negeri Sembilan Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA), the Negeri Sembilan State Education Department (JPN), the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), University of Nottingham Malaysia, and Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS).
