Day three: 2026 UiTM Journal Audit and Enhancement Workshop

The workshop commenced with a lecture entitled "Transparency and Openness in Scholarly Publishing: Auditing Journal Policies for Authors, Reviewers and Editors", delivered by Professor Dr. Abrizah Abdullah from the University of Malaya. The session highlighted the importance of transparency, openness, and policy compliance in scholarly publishing management to ensure greater integrity and quality in journal publication practices. Following the lecture, a cross-audit session involving 25 UiTM journals was conducted as part of an effort to strengthen transparency, integrity, and compliance in scholarly publishing management. The workshop is expected to further enhance the culture of high-quality scholarly publishing among UiTM journals while fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices among editorial boards. These efforts will contribute towards improving the competitiveness and visibility of UiTM journals at both the national and international levels.
