IESM UiTM empowers industry professionals through specialized NDT Workshop

SHAH ALAM, 22 and 23 April 2026 - The Institute of Infrastructure Engineering and Sustainable Management (IIESM), in collaboration with UiTM Technoventure, successfully concluded the first series of its professional enhancement workshop, "Leveraging NDT for Structural Integrity," held recently at the Advanced Materials Lab, UiTM Shah Alam. Led by esteemed speaker Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhd Norhasri Muhd Sidek, the two-day intensive program provided participants with comprehensive insights into Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methodologies. The curriculum featured a strategic blend of theoretical sessions-covering data interpretation and structural correlation-and practical hands-on field setups. This approach ensures that engineers and industry practitioners can effectively apply advanced NDT techniques to ensure the longevity and safety of infrastructure. Following the success of the April session, IIESM has announced that registrations are now open for Series 2, scheduled for 19 & 20 August 2026. The workshop remains HRDC claimable and is designed to align with CIDB and BEM professional development standards. This initiative reaffirms IIESM's commitment to bridging the gap between academic expertise and industrial excellence.
