Ukhuwah@PI MEGA Series 3/2026

Ukhuwah@PI MEGA Series 3/2026 was held on 17 April 2026 at Dewan Berlian, Bangunan Wawasan, in a relaxed yet meaningful atmosphere. The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yaasin led by Mr. Izzuddin Mohd Nasar, Clerk at RMC. The programme continued with two sharing sessions. The first featured Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Noor Fitrah Abu Bakar, Deputy Director (Energy and Environment), ReNeU, who shared insights and experiences from a benchmarking visit to Can Tho University, Vietnam. The second session was presented by Mr. Mohd Noor Azliy Abdullah, Assistant Registrar, RMC, who highlighted the implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme with the Bajau Laut community in Semporna, Sabah. The event was further enlivened with the presentation of a promotion letter to Mr. Muhammad Adib Ibrahim on his appointment as Senior Assistant Registrar Grade N10. In addition, a letter of appointment was presented to Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Noor Fitrah Abu Bakar as Director of the Institute of Science (loS), effective 15 April 2026. In his closing remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) emphasised the importance of continuing ukhuwah programmes as a platform to strengthen camaraderie among staff. He also encouraged prudent expenditure practices in line with current directives. The programme concluded with a Hari Raya gathering featuring a variety of festive delicacies, fostering closer ties and strengtheningthe spirit of fellowship among members of the Department of Research and Innovation (JPI).
