Abstract
Emergency rations are items of food and drink that a person stores and relies on in case of an emergency. In status quo, emergency rations take a long time to prepare and are difficult to store in abundance whilst also adding weight to the carriage. These are the problems that our innovation, QuickStrips is able to solve. As well as being a product that has daily life applications, QuickStrips is a multipurpose product that can be applied in a plethora of situations. But first, what is QuickStrips? QuickStrips is an innovation the result of Suhayl, Luth and Taufiq’s collective ideas in their goal to create a better alternative to rations. Nevertheless, QuickStrips is not only a better alternative to rations but much, much more. QuickStrips is a strip of a dried mixture of ingredients including but not limited to; fruits and vegetables. QuickStrips is a simple to make, using mostly around-thehouse ingredients and does not require constant attention throughout the dehydration process. We have designed it this way so that even the average Joe is able to create these nutrition-packed strips to use in his daily life. The creation process of QuickStrips has been heavily tuned from requiring 16 hours in a dehydrator we have managed to cut that time by 4 hours through strategic spreading and placement of the mixture onto the silicon mat. And thus, lo and behold an efficient, easy-to-make, nutrition-packed and light strip can be created within the confines of a single household.
