Courtesy visit by the MTDC delegation to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, UiTM

On 23 April 2026, a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM), was successfully held. The visit was conducted to discuss potential strategic collaboration between MTDC and UiTM, particularly in the areas of innovation, technology commercialization, research development, and strengthening the industry-academia ecosystem. The MTDC delegation was led by Group CEO, Ts. Hj. Mohammad Hazani Hj. Hassan, while UiTM was represented by Prof. Dr. Haswira Nor Mohamad Hashim, Prof. Ts. Dr. Asmah, and UITM researchers. The discussion also focused on collaboration opportunities in technology development, knowledge transfer, support for research commercialization, and the exploration of strategic funding opportunities that would benefit both parties. This programme indirectly strengthens the collaboration network between university and industry, in line with UiTM's aspiration to advance high-impact research and innovation commercialization at both national and international levels.
