Building component's issues in heritage building maintenance in Kedah

This study is based on the problems found in the article that has been read. One of the problems faced was the difficulty in obtaining material supplies and financial problems. And the research aims to reduce problems regarding building component's issues in heritage building maintenance in Kedah. And the research objectives are to identify the issues regarding building component's in heritage building and to recommend ways how to reduce the building component's issues in heritage building maintenance in Kedah. The research questions that use to answer the objectives are, what are the issues regarding building's component in heritage building maintenance and what are the ways how to reduce the building component's issues in heritage building maintenance. The scope of the research is limited to around Kedah only. The places of study are Art Gallery and Police Station Jalan Raja. The data in this research has been gathered through the interview and observation process of the building condition to find the issues of the building. The findings from the interview and observation showed that the problem caused by the weather and also water where this leads to several problems that indirectly affected by the water. To remain the life span of the building, good management will able to influence the quality of the building.
