Abstract

Nowadays, the increasing amount of construction waste leads to the adverse impact towards environment, economic and social. This is because of the rapid growth of population increased along with development of the new building. Therefore, current construction waste management must fully developed in order to cater with the current development. The methods of managing waste must suitable with the waste materials itself so that the waste are not mistakenly placed. Thus, this research aims to determine the appropriate methods in managing building waste materials. This research also focuses on two objectives which are to identify the problems of current methods in managing building waste materials and to determine the best solution in managing building waste materials. To achieve these objectives, a quantitative method is adopted where the questionnaires were distributed to the contractors Grade 7 in Klang Valley. A total of 118 of questionnaires survey had been distributed by hand and by email to the contractors Grade 7 who handled on-going building projects. Out of 118 were distributed, only 50 of the questionnaire surveys were returned. The data analysed by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 24.
