Abstract
This article documents and analyzes the execution of an academic educational field trip to Sunway Medical Centre Penang, involving Foodservice Management students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pulau Pinang. This program was carried out under the strategic collaboration framework of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between UiTM and Sunway Group Sdn. Bhd. Uniquely, the visit also included international exchange students from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok. Through a comprehensive briefing and guided tour by the hospital's Food & Beverage and Dietetics Department, students were directly exposed to the daily operations of institutional foodservice systems within a clinical setting, covering aspects of nutritional management, patient diets, quality control, and food safety standards. This initiative successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practices, thereby demonstrating UiTM's continuous commitment to strengthening university-industry synergy and producing holistic graduates prepared to serve in specialized healthcare sectors
