Abstract

In recent years, various concepts of hybrid power systems have been received and modeled. This paper presents a hybrid power system model component development using MATLAB and Simulink. This hybrid model comprises a system of a diesel electric generator (DEG), a heat exchanger, a boiler, a wind turbine generator (WTG), and a photovoltaic array (PV). The system was designed and built in Simulink to fulfill the objective of this study. This modeling is very important to form how the different system components are integrated into a hybrid power system. Simulation studies were conducted in order to realize the functionality of the system.
