Schlumberger (SLB)

The purpose of this report is to documented the valuable experience and knowledge that I had gained at Schlumberger (SLB) Kuala Lumpur. During this internship, I have been assigned into finance department specifically under billing team. SLB is a global leading technology company that provides services, products and digital solution specifically in Oil & Gas industry. This internship was part of my degree requirement from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). During my internship, I had a chance to do some tasks that related to my background of study which is finance and accounting. I had the chance to experience of doing tasks like issuing invoice, canceling document transactions using Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) software, updating weekly transactions using GetPaid software and attend some programs like induction program and New Employee Safe Training (NEST) for new employees and interns. I had the opportunity to attend team meetings where I would get to learn how to work as a team which is a vital aspect in the billing department where each individual would contribute significantly towards the completion of a task within the deadlines. I am very thankful that this internship has enhanced my accounting and finance knowledge where it provided me with a glimpse of what it is like to work in the real life after 1 have completed my study. I am very grateful and thankful to have this golden opportunity to do internship with SLB. In summary, the working experience at SLB has enriched me with confidence, skills, and professionalism that is required for continuous success in my career.
