Abstract

Academic Abstract This academic article evaluates the system integration, biomedical engineering framework, and clinical efficacy of "Jantung Care," an innovative mobile health (mHealth) ecosystem designed to optimize post-acute cardiovascular recovery and automated home-based cardiac rehabilitation. Following major cardiac events (such as myocardial infarction or coronary artery bypass grafting), patient adherence to secondary prevention protocols remains critically low due to geographical barriers, high clinical costs, and a lack of continuous physiological monitoring. To bridge this continuum-of-care gap, the Jantung Care architecture integrates wearable sensory technology with cloud-based clinical interfaces across three primary operational axes: (1) Real-Time Biosignal Acquisition and Processing, utilizing photoplethysmography (PPG) and micro-electrodes embedded in consumer wearables to track heart rate variability (HRV), blood pressure trends, and detect cardiac arrhythmias; (2) Predictive Machine Learning Diagnostics, employing cloud-based neural networks to establish patient-specific baseline metrics and issue automated early-warning alerts for impending heart failure decompression; and (3) Gamified Behavioral Re-engineering and Tele-Rehabilitation, administering adaptive aerobic exercise schedules, fluid tracking protocols, and medication adherence regimens directly to patients via an interactive mobile user interface. Preliminary clinical validation trials demonstrate that patients utilizing the Jantung Care mobile platform exhibit a significant reduction in 30-day readmission rates and a measurable improvement in functional aerobic capacity. Ultimately, this research provides an applied mHealth hardware-software blueprint and strategic system guide for biomedical engineers, cardiologists, and digital health policymakers aiming to decentralize chronic disease management.
