Abstract
This article documents a significant milestone in Malaysian healthcare: the inaugural laryngology procedure utilizing the EndoFix EXO robotic arm at Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM. Airway and laryngeal surgeries traditionally demand extreme precision and prolonged manual stability from the surgical team, often leading to physical fatigue and ergonomic constraints. The integration of the EndoFix EXO robotic system marks a new era in airway surgery within Malaysia, offering enhanced robotic assistance, steady visualization, and high-definition exoscopic control. This paper analyzes the clinical application, intraoperative efficacy, and early patient outcomes of this pioneering procedure. By reducing surgeon fatigue and optimizing the visual field during delicate laryngeal micro-movements, this robotic-assisted approach demonstrates superior safety profiles and precision, establishing a new standard of care and benchmarking the future of minimally invasive otorhinolaryngology in the region.
